Tiken Jah Fakoly, the union against colonialism

Persona non grata in Senegal, exiled in Mali after receiving death threats… Tiken Jah Fakoly is a better person than the African governments would have us believe.

The Ivorian reggae singer exposes social injustice, such as discrimination and poverty in Africa, through music. He is very critical with the fake promises of the politicians and his lyrics encourage the union of all Africans to end the heritage of colonialism.

Òscar Camps, founder of Proactiva Open Arms

Tiken Jah Fakoly will not be alone: he will be accompanied by Òscar Camps, founder of the NGO Proactiva Open Arms. Camps has first-hand knowledge of the reality of the migrants, especially those drifting in the Mediterranean. This is what the Open Arms ship aims to stop by rescuing lifes in the ocean and by bringing humanitarian aid to land.

  • Time and place: Fridat July 5 at 5PM, at the Museu de Ciències Naturals.
