We enjoyed a wide range of dance showcases covering all kinds of styles and disciplines:
THE RUGGEDS
This company presented Between Us. Just as every family is unique, so were The Ruggeds. In Between Us, they invited you into their home to discover what drove them. They unraveled the bonds that tied them to each other and to the audience. Through a mix of music, acrobatics, humor, and dance, you dived into their world of imagination.
BRODAS BROS
Brodas Bros is a dance and urban culture company. They returned to the streets—to the roots of Hip Hop culture—where everything began with a desire to share, express, and survive. Six dancers on wheels took the audience on a journey full of dance, fun, and spectacular acrobatics. For this show, they had a special guest: Bboy and acrobat Shyno from Arcopom Crew (Granada), a breakdance icon and one of the few performers who blended circus-style acrobatics with hoverboard movement.
THE CONCEPT DANCE COMPANY
The company presented Nakama, a Japanese term that described a friend considered family—someone who walked beside you, no matter how hard the road got. The piece immersed the audience in themes of friendship and collaboration, inviting them into the journey and the story being told, showing how essential it was to have someone by your side through life’s challenges. It was a street performance full of virtuosity, accessible to all, with a movement style that fused urban and contemporary dance.
THE BOOGIE TUNES
This performance showcased popping, specifically inspired by the “EB style”—a form that grounded its movement and rhythm in groove and muscular contractions. The result was a highly visual and dynamic show that stayed true to the essence of the style while also embracing artistic elements from modern choreographic creations, where each dancer got a chance to shine with their own style and personality.
PHAX
Phax’s show blended poetry, humor, and audience interaction. Situated at the crossroads between hip-hop and mime, he invited us—at his own pace—to explore his inner world.
BCN HOPPERS
Jazz was meant to be danced — and with plenty of rhythm! This company brought the energy and vitality of Lindy Hop, the most iconic dance of the swing era, to Cruïlla. With competitions, live showcases, and above all, a festive and inclusive spirit, they turned the space into a vibrant dance floor. With the best of Barcelona’s Lindy community, people came to watch, dance, and let themselves be swept away by the swing!
LOCURE
The dance company Locure made us vibrate with a performance full of energy, rhythm, and emotion. The show not only captivated us from the first moment but also infected us with the desire to dance, jump, and let ourselves be carried away by the movement. We were ready for an explosion of music and choreography that made us move our feet without even realizing it.
BASTONERS DE SANT CUGAT
We also highlighted traditional culture with a showcase of one of our region’s most emblematic folk dances: the Ball de Bastons! Led by the Bastoners de Sant Cugat, this performance blended youthful energy and traditional Catalan heritage. They preserved classic stick dances while introducing their own choreographies, rich in daring and spectacle—all while staying rooted in tradition.
