Cruïlla, the latest in fashion and sustainability!
The textile industry is one of the biggest polluters and is responsible for approximately 20% of water pollution worldwide and 10% of global CO2 emissions. For this reason, part of the festival’s merchandising is produced on demand, with the aim of not generating leftover pieces of clothing and streamlining the purchasing system. In addition, we focus on offering durable products and useful designs, for a longer life expectancy of the products.
This year we collaborate with Wanda, a brand of t-shirts made in a sustainable way in Maresme, in Catalonia, following and favoring the textile tradition of the area with knitted pieces. Wanda has the GOTS Certificate (Global Organic Textile Standard) that guarantees organic production and transformation procedures.
We have also teamed up with Ette Abanicos to create handmade fans in Aldaia, Valencia, with fabric and wood through a 100% handmade process.
As for the artists, we control the sale of their products with a limit so as not to incite unnecessary consumption and reduce surplus.
