Xicu (Cesc Valverde) has turned love, pain, and emotional fragility into a singular musical proposal that has evolved from intimate beginnings to an increasingly radical and expansive universe. While his early work was dominated by silence, solitude, and introspection, he has gradually embraced a sonic landscape that blends experimental pop, hyperpop, trap, and synth pop, playing with unsettling distortions, hypnotic loops, and rhythmic explosions that redefine the limits of pop music. Along the way, he has collaborated with artists such as Maria Hein, Julieta, and Socunbohemio, consolidating his artistic personality on prominent stages and establishing himself as one of the boldest voices in the emerging Catalan scene. Inspired by projects as diverse as Playboi Carti and Ethel Cain, Xicu embraces contradiction and transforms pain into creative fuel, finding beauty in discomfort and strength in fragility.
On Wednesday, July 8th, Xicu will perform at Parc del Fòrum to present his new album, confirming that his emotional and contemporary musical language continues to evolve and mesmerize audiences.
