‘Em sap greu riure‘ is YPNOSI’s second album, the Catalan project that redefines and de-rusts rock through an artistic proposal that is impossible to ignore, with the aim of bringing guitar music back to its generation. Strongly inspired by international classics such as The Rolling Stones or The Smiths, as well as local singer-songwriters like Pau Riba or Adrià Puntí, their new album — entirely self-produced and recorded in the basement of an old greengrocer’s shop in Gràcia, inside what used to be an industrial refrigerator — embraces indie rock and contains a powerful, genuine energy that could not define them better. Through tragicomic lyrics, Leo, Mateu, Albert and Pol take us on a journey from the absurd to the deeply emotional, revealing their eccentric, ironic and irreverent character. In short, they are a true defibrillator for Catalan culture.
