Hot Chip at Cruïlla 2022
Hot Chip is one of the bands that have defined synthpop in the last decade. Their hit Over and Over is one of those addictive loops that stick in your cortex, and their live show is a supersonic journey from the eighties to the present day.
This marriage of pop and electronic music has been going strong for over twenty years and has seeb seven albums and numerous remixes, including a cover of Shakira’s She Wolf. Hot Chip will go down in indie history for their use of synthesizers, their references to the eighties and their staging.
In an interview with Mondo Sonoro, the band declared that, when playing festivals, their aim is to “make it fun and take into account the spirit of the place; involve as many people as you can, because they haven’t necessarily come to see just you”.
We know there are more than a few people coming to see them, so we’ve booked a special slot for them. Hot Chip will perform for the first time at Cruïlla Festival on 8 July 2022, and we can’t wait.
